Tao User Agreement

By using Tao, you agree to these Terms. If you obtained Tao from Apple’s App Store, the Apple Licensed Application EULA also applies.

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms govern your use of Tao provided by Tao Team. If you do not agree, do not use Tao.

2. Who May Use Tao

Age 17+ only.
Provide accurate account information and keep credentials secure.
Comply with applicable laws and these Terms.

3. License

Personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Tao. iOS users also agree to Apple’s Licensed Application EULA; Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries as to the iOS version.

4. User Content

You own your content.
You grant Tao Team a limited license to host, display, adapt (for formatting), and distribute your content to operate and improve Tao.
You are responsible for your content and must respect third-party rights.

5. Acceptable Use

No illegal, infringing, hateful, or abusive content.
No malware, security circumvention, or interference.
No spam, scraping, or unauthorized automated access.
No misrepresentation or impersonation.

6. Location Features

With permission, Tao may use precise or approximate location. Location may be inaccurate. Do not rely on Tao for safety-critical or emergency purposes.

7. Photos and Face Information

No facial recognition or biometric processing. One-time generation then deletion; default local storage; not used for training or marketing.

8. Privacy

Your use is subject to our Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual Property

Tao, its software, and branding are owned by Tao Team or licensors.

10. Termination

You may stop using Tao anytime. We may suspend or terminate for violations or to protect users or our service.

11. Disclaimers

Tao is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Tao Team is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or data loss arising from use of Tao.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

Law of Tao Team’s principal place of business applies. Disputes resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis, unless prohibited by law.
